Nicole Taher is a Venice based Mindfulness teacher, writer and business owner of surf wellness programs
Nicole teaches mindfulness and stress management to entrepreneurs and executives through her company mindful Expressions. She Collaborates with entrepreneurial and corporate clients on defining and implementing their core values into their internal and external business strategies, while improving office cultures and behaviors using non-conventional methods like mindfulness, Nicole also managed and helped to develop the business of saltwater sessions, an integrative program combining mindfulness and surfing for the treatment of addiction and mental illness adapted from dissertation of dr. lena dicken.
Nicole Taher has over ten years experience in the music industry working for high-profile brands and corporations; developing, managing and fostering talent, consulting for profit and non-profit start ups and lifestyle brands on their identity, branding and marketing strategy. Nicole has worked with large corporations, boutique organizations including Universal Music Publishing Group and Geffen Records, with Multi-Platinum Record Producer Ron Fair, as well as artists such as Pussycat Dolls, Mary J. Blige, System of a Down, Deftones, Willie Nelson, Toby Keith, and hit-making songwriters in Nashville, Tennessee. During her own entrepreneurial venture, she developed an independent band from Nashville on all fronts from grassroots to garnering several rotations and support from NPR’s KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic with Jason Bentley.
By learning transformative foundations in compassion, gentleness and mindfulness, Nicole transitioned her long time career in music into wellness by walking along side people to help them find healing through mindfulness and the sea and the parallels of the two.
Nicole is training at Insight LA for the MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction developed by Jon Kabat Zinn) Teacher’s Practicum at Insight LA, is a student of Mary Stancavage, is collaborating with Papaya Wellness to develop Mindfulness Surf Retreats, and has had an active Mindfulness practice for two and a half years.
